Shawn Mendes lançou na passada sexta feira um novo single, que se já tornou num verdadeiro fenómeno em todo o mundo. “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” é o tema inédito que o cantor canadiano lusodescendente revelou no fim da semana passada, a poucos dias de iniciar uma nova digressão mundial que passará por Lisboa, a 10 de maio, na MEO Arena, concerto que se encontra esgotado há semanas.

A música foi incluída no álbum Illuminate (VERSÃO DELUXE), tem uma batida bem animada e fala-nos sobre uma rapariga que mexe com os sentimentos dele. «A música já atingiu o 1.º lugar do top de vendas no iTunes em 18 países, entre eles os EUA, Reino Unido, Canadá, Alemanha, Brasil, Áustria, Irlanda, Holanda, Filipinas e Suécia. O single chegou ainda ao top 5 do iTunes em 20 países, nomeadamente em Portugal, Argentina, Dinamarca, Finlândia, Itália, México, Espanha e Suíça. “There’s Nothing Holdin’ Me Back” tem feito sucesso também no Spotify, estando em 1.º lugar das playlists Teen Party (2,6 milhões de seguidores) e Pop Rising (771 mil seguidores).
